Hollywood Aerial Arts
produces and choreographs aerial spectaculars internationally. From
their 10,000 square foot facility located minutes from LAX in Los Angeles,

artists from a wide range of backgrounds, all coming together to create a
dazzling team of specialty performers. From innovative design to

In addition to
packaging and creating mind boggling aerial extravaganzas for millions world
wide, they are also committed to developing new talent and now offer aerial
training for beginners through advanced students.
These unique programs
offer anyone the chance to experience and learn
aerial and other circus arts in a safe, supportive and non competitive
environment. It's a perfect place to practice existing technique or learn
from the start.
Classes offered
include High Flying
Trapeze, Single & Double Static Trapeze, Hoop, Bungee, Aerial Hammock, Spanish Web/Corde
Lisse',
Aerial Cradle and Tightrope/Low Wire.
For the Flying Trapeze
classes, your classes will begin with a warm up to get the body in a relaxed
state ready to fly. Then we will work on the practice bar to go over the
elements of basic swing.
After that is
developed, you will mount the platform in the air to begin flying! All
sessions are conducted with safety lines and a spotting belt to assure your
safety and security at all times. Everyone progresses at their own pace as
you learn the fundamentals of the basic swing. As you progress, you will
learn different tricks as your abilities grow, all
with the goal of transforming you mentally, emotionally and physically in
this amazing and enlightening activity.
Classes:
Flying Trapeze - A dynamic activity involving swinging on a trapeze,
performing various tricks in the air then being caught by a catcher on
another trapeze. The High Flying Trapeze is outdoors at 32' tall with
a full net and safety system.
Static Trapeze - Activities around,
above and under a single trapeze bar, typically held up by ropes instead of
cables. It involves strength, agility and balance as the body wraps
and works around the bar.
Spanish Web - A cloth covered soft
rope that is used for climbing and aerial acrobatics involving various
wraps, knots and spinning activities with a hand and foot loop near the top.
Corde' Lisse is the same rope technique without the loop.
Tissu - Aerial apparatus involving
long lengths of fabric which is used for various wraps, hangs and drops
resulting in a breathtaking combination of strength and beauty.
Lyra/Hoop - A round hoop that is used for various
aerial maneuvers featuring balancing. spinning, and contortion.
Aerial Bungee - An art form involving hanging
suspended in a 2 point harness attached to long lengths of bungee cord.
The class consists of high level cardio-vascular activity involving flips,
spins and inverted positions while learning to balance your body in the air
utilizing the arms and legs to control your flight.
Hammock - A loop of fabric which you learn similar
tissu wraps in as well as stretching it out and doing positions inside the
fabric.
