The Intro to Aerial class is on special for $59.50 (an $80 value!) To register at the special rate, click on the “Sign Up Now” button at the top of the site and then use promo code: INTRO2012 when registering for the class.

Classes:

Flying Trapeze – A dynamic activity involving swinging on a trapeze, performing various tricks in the air then being caught by a catcher on another trapeze. The High Flying Trapeze is outdoors at 32′ tall with a full net and safety system.

Tissu – Also known as aerial silks, fabric, or ribbon, this apparatus involves long lengths of fabric that are used for various wraps, hangs and drops resulting in a breathtaking combination of strength and beauty.

Lyra/Hoop – Also known as Cerceau, this is a circular, metal hoop that is used for various aerial maneuvers featuring balancing, spinning, and contortion.

Spanish Web – This apparatus is a cloth-covered rope that is used for climbing and aerial acrobatics involving various wraps, knots and spinning activities with a hand loop located near the top. Corde Lisse is the same apparatus as Spanish Web, but does not have the hand loop attached, and typically focuses less on spinning.

Hammock – This aerial apparatus is made from the same fabric used for tissu. The fabric is folded in half to make a loop at the bottom and a single point on top, resembling a cocoon. The moves learned are somewhat similar to tissue, but the aerialist is able to work inside the “cocoon,” as well as wrapping the fabric for various poses and drops.

Static Trapeze – Activities around, above and under a single trapeze bar, typically held up by ropes instead of cables. It involves strength, agility and balance as the body wraps and works around the bar and the ropes.

Aerial Bungee – An art form involving hanging suspended in a 2-point harness attached to long lengths of bungee cord. The apparatus consists of high-level cardio-vascular activity involving flips, spins and inverted positions while learning to balance your body in the air utilizing the arms and legs to control your flight. Due to the precise and individualized weight requirements that bungee requires, this is offered only as a private lesson.
